Join Main Street Highland Park for a day of fun starting with the 9th annual Run in the Park 5k. The course, closed to traffic during the race, starts by the High School on North 5th Ave and then heads downhill along route 27 towards New Brunswick for a fast first mile. The race then winds it’s way through the historic streets of Highland Park before finishing on the high school track.
The event welcomes all participants including strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers.
A new course was certified for 2015. The new course allows us to start and finish in the same area – registration will be in the area by the High School track, where the race has always finished – the new course is only slightly different from the old course.
Click here for a look at the course (please note that the GPS measurement on mapmyrun is not accurate – see below for course measurement certification from USATF).
Alternatively, go to the USATF certification page.
The 2018 race will be a 500 point Grand Prix race – paperwork in process.

Following the 5k, refreshments will be available in the finish area. At 10am there will be kids races on the high school track. Kids race entrants will also receive a t-shirt and refreshments.
